The Twizy Due to Make its Debut in Llandovery

A few weeks ago, I wrote a blog about ‘Tracy’ the Twizy Eco Car and a trip around Brecon. From August 5th, the Eco Car is coming to Llandovery. The state of the art electric car will be available to hire by the day and will be based at The Level Crossing for two weeks.

The Level Crossing is a community owned bunkhouse, bistro, and bar located next to Llandovery railway station. The new venture is aimed at walkers and cyclists for who there is secure storage and washing facilities for mountain bikes. It is based on the doorstep of the Western Brecon Beacons and the Cambrian Mountains; there is something for everyone to enjoy here- Mountains, lakes, castles, gardens and market towns.

This innovative little car provides a ‘green’ springboard for exploring the beautiful and stunning area, including the Black Mountain and could benefit tourism in Carmarthenshire greatly, now and in the future as more and more people are becoming conscience over the environmental impact of their holiday choices. More tourists are beginning to embrace sustainable holidays.

Carmarthenshire Featured in Compare Your Life TV Program

Over four million Brits have abandoned the rat race to
become their own bosses, but most of us are too
overwhelmed by the staggering number of possible new
opportunities to make such a big change.
Carlton Hood, former CEO of confused.com, uses the
same principles found in comparison websites to guide
people on how they can make a lifestyle change. He helps
separate the emotion from the important factors and
direct families towards a future that will work for them.
Carlton reveals how much families are worth, gets them
to decide what their priorities really are, and helps them
to make potentially life changing decisions.
In the first episode of the series on Channel 4, Hampshire
couple, Fiona and Jonathan ask Carlton to find them
a rural business in Wales.
The search is whittled down to a choice of two locations
within Wales. A dog kennels in Pembrokeshire and four
low-maintenance cottages in Carmarthenshire.

The house featured is in Cilwen, Abernant in Carmarthen.
It shows the amazing businesses currently set up in this
beautiful location. Dating back to the 17th century, it is
currently run as a B&B with tremendous potential for further
developments, it’s peaceful and surrounded by open
countryside with its own private driveway.
The programme airs at 8pm on Thursday evening
on Channel 4.

Mae dros bedair miliwn o Brits wedi gadael y ras llygod i ddod yn penaethiaid eu hunain, ond mae'r rhan fwyaf ohonom yn cael eu llethu hefyd gan y nifer syfrdanol o gyfleoedd newydd posibl i wneud newid mor fawr.

Mae Carlton Hood, cyn-Brif Swyddog Gweithredol Confused.com, yn defnyddio'r un egwyddorion a geir mewn gwefannau cymharu i arwain pobl ar sut y gallant wneud newid ffordd o fyw. Mae'n helpu gwahanu'r emosiwn o'r ffactorau pwysig a theuluoedd uniongyrchol tuag at ddyfodol a fydd yn gweithio ar eu cyfer.

Mae Carlton yn dangos faint mae deuluoedd werth, yn cael eu galluogi i benderfynu beth yw eu blaenoriaethau mewn gwirionedd, ac yn eu helpu i wneud penderfyniadau a allai newid bywyd.
Yn y bennod gyntaf y gyfres ar Channel 4, mae cwpl o Hampshire, Fiona a Jonathan yn gofyn Carlton i ddod o hyd i fusnes gwledig yng Nghymru.

Mae'r chwiliad yn cael ei dreulio o dipyn i lawr i ddewis o ddau leoliad yng Nghymru. Mae cytiau cŵn yn Sir Benfro a phedwar bwthyn cynnal a chadw isel yn Sir Gaerfyrddin.

Mae'r tŷ yn cynnwys yw Cilwen yn Abernant yng Nghaerfyrddin. Mae'n dangos y busnesau anhygoel a sefydlwyd yn y lleoliad hardd ar hyn o bryd. Yn dyddio yn ôl i'r 17eg ganrif, mae'n cael ei redeg ar hyn o bryd fel B & B gyda photensial aruthrol ar gyfer datblygiadau pellach, mae'n heddychlon ac wedi ei amgylchynu gan gefn gwlad agored gyda'i ddreif preifat ei hun.

Mae'r rhaglen yn darlledu am 8pm ar nos Iau ar Channel 4.
