Carmarthenshire County Council has 9,500 employees that work in over 100 different services & one of these is Marketing & Tourism Development officer, Hywel Davies.
Carmarthenshire born & bred, Hywel has worked for the Economic Development Division of Carmarthenshire County Council for over eight years. Previous to this Hywel had roles with Walt Disney World in Florida as a cultural representative for Wales, the Museum of Welsh life at St Fagans), Chessington World of Adventures, HSBC as well as the National Botanic Garden of Wales. Not content to put his feet up when finishing with the County council, Hywel and his Sister are currently developing a 25 pitch Touring Caravan site in Llangennech on the outskirts of Llanelli.
Fluent in Welsh, ultra passionate for Carmarthenshire, Hywel's role within the Marketing & Tourism section encompasses being the first point fo call for businesses set up, finding financial support avenues, networking contacts, market research and other specialist tourism campaigns.
