Carmarthenshire County Council marketing tourism officers have been a part of the Brecon Beacons marketing group for some years and attend quarterly meetings alongside the Brecon Beacons National Park, Brecon Beacons Tourism (the trade association) and tourism staff from Powys & Monmouthshire County Council. The Carmarthenshire part of the Beacons is a geographical slice along the eastern part of the County and is an important entry point from Brecon and the Swansea Valley.
Marketing & Tourism Manager Huw Parsons attended the meeting last week in Brecon and the agenda led by Brecon Beacons Tourism included branding work for the Brecon Beacons, public relations activity and potential investment from Carmarthenshire County Council on specific projects.
