Workshop reminder - book now

Draft tourism action plan workshops
A reminder that Visit Wales forthcoming series of workshops are filling up fast. There are a limited number of spaces available at each venue, so please do book now if you’d like to attend.

Each session will take place between 10am – 12.30pm and purpose is to gather your thoughts and opinions on the priorities as outlined within the Draft Tourism Action plan for Wales to accompany the new Tourism Strategy.

Community Rail in the City - Rheilffyrdd Cymunedol yn y Ddinas


On the 15th of May The Heart of Wales Line Forum (our own Community Rail
Partnership) has a superb opportunity to promote tourism in Wales by participating in an event called ' Community Rail in the City'

The event will enable us to promote Carmarthenshire to all visitors and commuters passing through the concourse of Paddington Railway station.

Having this presence on the concourse normally costs £thousands but we are able to access it free of charge.

Heart of Wales LineWe are looking for Tourism Businesses that are willing to assist in promoting the area - and their own businesses - for this day. 2013 National Tourism Awards for Wales Now Open


Calling all Carmarthenshire businesses! Llandovery Heritage Centre update

Carmarthenshire County Council is delighted to confirm they will be supporting the running of the Heritage Centre in Llandovery this year alongside the Brecon Beacons National Park and will be financing new displays to further the attraction of the facility.

Reduce waste in the Tourism sector - Lleihau gwastraff yn y sector twristiaeth

Assistance in the Hospitality, Tourism Food and Drink sectors - PILOT PROJECT
WRAP  launched a new initiative aimed at promoting reduced waste in the Hospitality, Tourism Food and Drink sectors in Wales. This is targeted at any company in the region, with the only requirement being that they are an SME and under the de minimus ceiling.
WRAP and Carmarthenshire County Council can offer specialist introductory waste consultancy service that is 100% funded, and then sign post towards a grant of up to 60% towards capital costs of equipment within tourism, hospitality/catering or the disposal of waste products

Mae WRAP wedi lawnsio menter newydd sy'n anelu at hyrwyddo lleihau gwastraff yn y  sectorau Lletygarwch Twristiaeth Bwyd, Diod yng Nghymru. Mae hyn yn cael ei thargedu at unrhyw gwmni yn y rhanbarth, gyda'r unig ofyniad yw bod eu bod yn fusnesau bach a chanolig ac o dan y nenfwd minimus de.

Gall WRAP a Chyngor Sir Caerfyrddin yn cynnig gwasanaeth arbenigol gwastraff ymgynghori rhagarweiniol sydd yn cyllido 100%, ac yna llofnodi tuag at grant o hyd at 60% tuag at gostau cyfalaf o offer o fewn twristiaeth, lletygarwch / arlwyo neu waredu cynhyrchion gwastraff

International Food Conference Opportunity
South West Wales food producers, retailers, hospitality providers and groups in the RDP area are being offered a fantastic opportunity to participate in an international food tourism conference in Denmark through the Taste Local bursary scheme.
Danish hosts, LAG Slagelse, will be offering delegates from Italy, Malta and Wales an opportunity to learn about their food tourism offering through visits and talks with local food and hospitality businesses in the area.
