Carmarthenshire hits the road to attract 1million visitors

Carmarthenshire is taking to the highway to seek out new tourists as the County council has entered into a partnership with Pear Media to sponsor visitor information areas in Magor & Pont Abraham on the M4, Symonds Yat on the M50, Strensham South on the M5, Maidstone on the M20 and Clackett Lane on the M25. 1 million people per month using these services and as part of the deal the council’s marketing & tourism section will have prominent branding at each of these sites to target Caravanning & Camping visitors to one of the 60 plus accredited Carmarthenshire locations that stretches from Carmarthen Bay to the Brecon Beacons. The timing and locations for this deal is perfect for Carmarthenshire as motorway services will see a huge increase in traffic with the staycation summer period & the Olympic Games in 2012.” www.discovercarmarthenshire.com
