Mudtrek cleans up in the Guardian Newspaper

The Guardian online has helped the award winning "Mudtrek" activity and accomodation provider near Brechfa in Carmarthenshire by promoting it to their millions of readers. The "ski chalet for mountain biking" operation run by Nikki and Jason took advantage of the Public Relations resource provided by the Marketing & Tourism team at Carmarthenshire County Council and saw instant bookings when the article called "10 last minute Easter Holidays" went live on what is one of the busiest websites in the UK. Real Radio promoting Carmarthenshire Tourism this summer

Weekends from May will hear Real Radio, the only natiional radio station in Wales, broadcasting loud and proud the message that Carmarthenshire is the place this summer for a weekend stay or a day visit. Carmarthenshire County Council Marketing & Tourism section have agreed to be the radio station's weekend radio partner so as residents of wales wake up to think how to spend their weekend, they think of Carmarthenshire. Carmarthenshire is already one of Wales' largest tourism areas with over three million visitors but the largest County in southern wales wants to ensure that all residents of Wales are aware of the coast, countryside and town holidays ready and waiting for them. Norwegians tourists visit Carmarthenshire

A GROUP of Norwegian tourism business representatives have sampled what Carmarthenshire has to offer as part of a trip to South Wales organised by Visit Wales. Sarah Owen from Carmarthenshire County Council's marketing tourism section met the Norwegian visitors (who included owner of a travel company that organises charter flights, the sales manager of a tour operator, and the product manager of a company that arranges tours for groups of between 10 and 20 interested in history, music and operas, and archaeology) on 21st March and as they visited Carreg Cennen Castle at Trap before looking around Llandeilo, a tour of Aberglasney House and Gardens and a drive through Laugharne. www.discovercarmarthenshire.com

Carmarthenshire hits the road to attract 1million visitors

Carmarthenshire is taking to the highway to seek out new tourists as the County council has entered into a partnership with Pear Media to sponsor visitor information areas in Magor & Pont Abraham on the M4, Symonds Yat on the M50, Strensham South on the M5, Maidstone on the M20 and Clackett Lane on the M25. 1 million people per month using these services and as part of the deal the council’s marketing & tourism section will have prominent branding at each of these sites to target Caravanning & Camping visitors to one of the 60 plus accredited Carmarthenshire locations that stretches from Carmarthen Bay to the Brecon Beacons.
