Apprenticeships have proven
to be a fantastic asset to employers and results have really shown to develop
the learners and to help employers grow:
- 80% of those employers who employ apprentices agree they make their workplace more productive.
- 80% of businesses said apprenticeships resulted in better motivation among their workforces
- National standards and qualifications linked with hands-on training means apprentices are well trained and productive and will also serve to increase customer confidence
- Apprentices bring a significant return on investment and often progress to senior management roles.
- Employers who take on an apprentice only pay their salary. The Welsh Government will fund their training
Tourism is a vitally important industry in South Wales and
it is of great value to embed cultural heritage in the attractions and
businesses the industry offers. Apprenticeships in this field can offer many
benefits to both employers and apprentices in expanding and improving provision
of tourism from working in hospitality to working in museums, historical
attractions, accommodation providers and local tourism agencies.
Throughout the apprenticeship scheme, apprentices will be
supported greatly by Coleg Sir Gar, with an assigned training advisor providing
a link between the place of work and the college (supporting the employer every
step of the way), bridging the gap between work and study. The apprenticeship
seeks to educate learners of how to integrate seamlessly into a workplace, how
to review and improve their own personal performance and how to apply their
skills to maximize the efficiency of the business they work within.

yn ased gwych i gyflogwyr ac mae canlyniadau wedi dangos yn wirioneddol eu bod
yn datblygu dysgwyr ac yn helpu cyflogwyr i dyfu:
- Mae 80% o’r cyflogwyr hynny sy’n cyflogi
prentisiaid yn cytuno eu bod yn gwneud eu gweithle’n fwy cynhyrchiol.
- Dywedodd 80% o fusnesau fod prentisiaethau
wedi arwain at welliant mewn cymhelliant ymhlith eu gweithluoedd.
- Mae safonau a chymwysterau cenedlaethol sy’n
gysylltiedig â hyfforddiant ymarferol yn golygu bod prentisiaid yn dra
hyfforddedig a chynhyrchiol a bydd hyn yn fodd i gynyddu hyder y
cwsmeriaid.
- Mae prentisiaid yn dod ag adenillion
sylweddol ar fuddsoddiad ac yn aml byddant yn symud ymlaen i rolau
rheolwyr uwch.
- Bydd cyflogwyr sy’n cymryd prentis yn talu ei
gyflog yn unig. Bydd Llywodraeth Cymru yn ariannu ei hyfforddiant.
Mae Twristiaeth
yn ddiwydiant hynod o bwysig yn Ne Cymru ac mae gwerth mawr mewn cynnwys
treftadaeth ddiwylliannol yn yr atyniadau a’r busnesau a gynigir gan y
diwydiant. Gall prentisiaethau yn y maes hwn gynnig llawer o fuddion i
gyflogwyr a phrentisiaid hefyd, gan ehangu a gwella darpariaeth twristiaeth o
weithio ym maes lletygarwch i weithio mewn amgueddfeydd, atyniadau hanesyddol,
fel darparwyr llety ac asiantaethau twristiaeth lleol.
Trwy gydol y
cynllun prentisiaethau, caiff prentisiaid eu cefnogi’n fawr gan Goleg Sir Gâr,
gydag ymgynghorydd hyfforddi penodol yn darparu dolen gyswllt rhwng y gweithle
a’r coleg (gan gefnogi’r cyflogwr bob cam o’r ffordd), a phontio’r bwlch rhwng
gwaith ac astudio. Mae’r brentisiaeth yn ceisio addysgu dysgwyr am sut i
integreiddio’n hawdd mewn gweithle, sut i adolygu a gwella eu perfformiad
personol eu hunain a sut i ddefnyddio eu sgiliau yn y modd mwyaf effeithlon
posibl ar gyfer y busnes maen nhw’n gweithio ynddo.
